An Open Letter
Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
Kathy and I want to update you regarding our ministry at The Center For Biblical Counseling And Spiritual Resource. Many of you know that we have finally moved to Monument, Colorado and have purchased a home specifically set up for our counseling ministry. This facility is equipped with a private, well-appointed King suite with a separate entrance and kitchen facilities for those who choose to stay at The Center for our four and five day intensives. Our home in Monument is also easily accessible just off Interstate 25, 40 minutes from the Colorado Springs Airport and 60 minutes from the Denver International Airport.
Although we do many kinds of counseling, our primary focus lies in two areas. First we are very committed to working with marriages. Most of us are aware that marriages in America are in crisis. The divorce rate remains unacceptably high and even in marriages that stay together there is often a lack of life, hope and joy. Many couples are simply in survival mode and have never learned how to truly conquer. In spite of the many wonderful books, seminars, videos and conferences devoted to bringing health to marriage, most couples do not experience marked improvement in their relationship without one-on-one counseling and therapy. Without addressing the issues specific to each couple, lasting change rarely is achieved. Our desire is to continue to provide the practical tools and resources to couples on a personal basis that will truly make a difference in their lives. Our commitment is to be a marriage-specific resource for those couples in your church family and ministry sphere. Our marriage intensive is scheduled with enough time to truly uncover negative patterns and help couples move into a positive and healthy place in their relationship.
Second, we are also focused on coming alongside those who are in ministry to facilitate greater health and wholeness in their marriage and personal lives. Healthy and vibrant ministry comes from individuals and couples who are personally growing in health and wholeness in their own lives and intimate relationships. Ministry is often exhausting and draining beyond what most people understand. Even those who are in ministry seldom adequately address these issues and take steps to ensure their own personal health. The ministry experience and specific training Kathy and I have allows us to relate to and understand those in ministry. The pressure and stress of ministry is well known to us and has propelled us to become passionate about clergy health.
So what does this have to do with you? First we certainly appreciate your prayers as we continue to develop this ministry that God birthed in our hearts over ten years ago. This transition has been difficult at times, and there have been a number of personal challenges. But in everything, God has been so faithful! And we want to thank so many of you for your encouragement and the many ways you have chosen to stand with us.
Second, we are looking for those who would be willing to pray for specific needs as they arise in this ministry and we are looking for those who would desire to help support this ministry financially. If you are interested in either of these, please contact us by phone or email.
And finally, please refer The Center to anyone you know who might be encouraged and helped by this ministry. Even while we were in Nebraska, we had couples come from all over for intensives, and now in Colorado with more appropriate facilities, we hope to see that happen even more. If you know a marriage in crisis, or a young couple who desires pre-marital counseling (we have separate spaces for them to stay while with us!), if you know someone who needs a tune-up in their marriage or a pastoral couple who just needs time away, a time of refreshing, encouragement and perhaps some new tools to continue strong in ministry, please encourage them to contact us.
We have been so privileged to work with the Mid-America District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and our District Superintendent Rodger Peck in his desire to help those in ministry thrive and grow into greater health. We look forward to continue to work with our District as well as with those from all over the country who may desire the resources we have to offer.

For those of you who have taken the time to read through all of this… thank you! You have in some way been a blessing and encouragement to us… and we know we would not be still growing and moving forward if it had not been for the touch you have had in our lives!

The Center For Christian Counseling
Purpose:
To encourage families and individuals toward greater wholeness and healing through the practical application of real-life Biblical principles and life-skills.
Have you ever been disappointed? There is hope...The Bible tells us, “Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.” --Isaiah 49:23
Certainly there are times we have felt discouraged and disappointed, angry and frustrated. Sometimes we suffer and experience pain. And there are times we need to be encouraged and times we need someone to help us discover and face the truth. The Center is designed to help individuals, couples and families find strength and encouragement through the timeless principles that are found in the truth of the Bible.
Process of Discovery—at The Center we want to help individuals discover the principles and learn the skills necessary to help them make progress in the real world, in the everyday context of real life. Whether the issues are in the areas of marriage, family life, addictive behaviors, parenting, spiritual or emotional concerns or other personal issues, there is hope and there is encouragement and help available.
The Center For Biblical Counseling and Spiritual Resource is directed by Dr. Keith Davis. Keith and his wife Kathy have been partners in ministry for 36 years, thirteen years as staff pastors and 23 years as Senior Pastors. Keith and Kathy are available to counsel as a couple or separately depending on the needs and issues involved. They have been counseling professionally for the last twelve years, in California, Nebraska and Colorado. Keith and Kathy are available to counsel with individuals, married couples, engaged or pre-married couples, teens, families and extended families and are also willing in certain situations to travel to the client's location.
The Magnificent Marriage Seminar taught by the Davis' is a Friday evening and all day Saturday interactive retreat for couples and is especially effective when presented to Church groups. With lots of humor and various engaging activities, Keith and Kathy help couples consider how to take the next steps in their marriage. Regardless of where the marriage is right now, God invites each couple to something more.
Keith and Kathy are available to teach classes and seminars in a variety of settings helping individuals develop life-skills in the areas of marriage and family, parenting, or many other life-issues. Keith is also available to conduct Bible Studies and Men’s retreats with a focus on Biblical principles and with an emphasis on particular subjects as the need arises.
Counseling and other services are offered on a suggested donation basis; please call for detailed information.
In-depth, four to five day intensive sessions for Marriage Enrichment are also available (please see the next page).
Seeing from a new perspective... looking at our disappointments (or anger or loneliness or hurt…) through God’s eyes gives us a different perspective. He knows the whole story and He can see the ending that we cannot. His desire is to strengthen, help, and restore us and to bring us into health and wholeness. If you need encouragement and perhaps a different way to view life; if you need someone to listen to your story, please call.
The Center For Biblical Counseling and Spiritual Resource is a non-profit Christian ministry operating with a Board of Directors and has been approved for its 501(c)(3) status with the Federal Government.
